Privacy Policy
This policy explains what information is collected when you visit KoreaPosts (the “site”), who collects it, and how you can control it.
1. Information we collect
The site has no accounts, no registration and no login. We do not ask you for your name, address or any other personal detail, and we operate no comment system or newsletter. The only information we receive directly from you is what you choose to put in an email to us.
Third-party services embedded in the site — Google AdSense and Google Analytics — do collect information automatically, as described below. That data goes to Google, not to us; we see only aggregated reports.
2. Advertising and cookies (Google AdSense)
This site displays advertising through Google AdSense. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this site or other sites.
Google’s use of advertising cookies — including the DART cookie — enables Google and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to this and other sites on the internet. These cookies may be used for ad selection, delivery, frequency capping, fraud prevention and measurement.
You can control this:
- Opt out of personalised advertising by Google at adssettings.google.com.
- Opt out of personalised advertising from participating third-party vendors at aboutads.info/choices or optout.networkadvertising.org.
- Block or delete cookies in your browser settings at any time.
How Google uses information from sites and apps that use its services is described at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.
Visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland are asked for consent through a Google-certified consent management platform before personalised ads are shown, and can withdraw or change that consent at any time through the same tool.
3. Analytics (Google Analytics 4)
The site uses Google Analytics 4 to understand which articles are read and how visitors arrive. GA4 uses cookies and similar identifiers to record events such as page views, approximate location (derived from IP address, which Google does not store), device type and referring site. We use this only to decide what to write next and to find broken pages. You can prevent GA4 from collecting your data with the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.
4. Data we store
We keep no database of visitors. Emails you send us are kept only as long as needed to answer them and are then deleted. Analytics and advertising data are held by Google under its own retention policies, which you can review in the links above.
5. Children
The site is written for adults and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
6. External links
Articles link to government portals, official agencies and other outside websites. Those sites have their own privacy policies, and this one does not apply to them.
7. Your rights and contact
If you want to know what data relates to you, or want an email you sent us deleted, write to us and we will act on it. The publisher responsible for this site is:
